Amarillo Recycling Co

Imaging dropping a full size car into a giant shredding chamber and seeing it shredded into hand sized pieces in two minutes. We now have this machine running at Amarillo Recycling Co here in Amarillo. The machine operates with two 450H.P. electric motors and Clauddell Wright Construction was given the job of building the 54 foot tall operational room, Hydraulic room, and control room. The building was fabricated and erected on site and has 3/8" steel floor plate over 8" wide flange purlins for the second story. All the staircases were designed and built by C. Wright Construction to City of Amarillo specifications. Drive down Amarillo Boulevard and Grand Street and see the smoke and dust coming forth as this shredding beast does its job.

Residential

Kevin Wright's personal residence is a metal building with brick veneer and stone exterior. It was built on site with a floor plan chosen from a plan book. The structural design was performed by Clauddell Wright and the house is double insulated with a 22 gauge steel roof which is hail resistant and fire resistant. 10' and 14' ceiling heights are in parts of the house and a lot of curved walls, showers, and fireplaces are part of the interior décor. We can build you a metal house that does not look like a metal building.

Suzuki Showroom

This showroom is a custom designed building by Clauddell Wright beginning with an existing gable roof building and building a clear span roof over the existing building. All the concrete grade beams, piers, floor and steps were designed to meet ADA requirements. The glass store front and curved pilasters were Suzuki standard emblems and were built on site by Clauddell Wright Construction Co. The metal building was finished out with glass sales offices in the interior and stucco on the exterior walls. Ramps were provided for driving the display cars through the wide glass doors.

Backyard Storage

La Chateau Pet Resort

Another project where the larger building companies could not meet the budget for a custom building with unique features. Let us show why our family owned business can save you money on overhead and erection costs and get you a building completed in budget and on time. The pet resort has six single slope wings for pet suites and the main office and grooming area with a covered entry way and stucco wall finish, stone wainscoting and covered soffitt and columns.

Palo Duro Cowboy Church

This 12,000 sq ft building has a historic cowboy look with the cedar post columns on the front porch and the lean to side walls additions. This was a turn key job with the original topographic study performed by Clauddell and Kevin Wright and the dirt work started within one week after the Church secured their loan. It has a rustic interior finish with a horse watering trough for a baptistery and is truly a cowboy atmosphere for worship services.

Donley Activity Center

This 18,000 sq ft building is truly a community project which is being used for the showing of the youths' animal shows and proms, weddings, graduation ceremonies, receptions, and parties. The building has lean-to sidewall additions and a western style front porch for a classic early day look. It has a full size kitchen and large public H.C. bathrooms for accommodating 300 people. This project was re-designed after the bid letting was $150,000.00 over budget. Clauddell Wright used his Engineering training from Oklahoma State University to build it in budget and on time. He will look at your plans and offer free consultation to fit your budget based on 36 years of building metal buildings and 50 years of construction in dirtwork, paving, and concrete.

Luxury Imports

Turning a vacant convenient store into a unique luxury car sales lot is a specialty for Clauddell Wright Construction Co. The curved canopies were built on site and secured to poured in place concrete pilasters to withstand 100 mph wind loads in the Texas Panhandle. The building interior was finished out with glass sales offices, new detail shop, and new sales counters and waiting room. The old stone building was stripped down and new stucco and diamond plate aluminum were placed on the exterior. The landscaping and car ramps were part of the renovation and is a part of Clauddell Wright's expertise.

Harbor Freight Tool Co.

A retail sales building built for owners who live in California. The building was built on time and in budget with the California Curved Mansand on the front. The original building was 9,000 sq ft and the owners contracted Clauddell Wright four years later to add on another 4,000 sq ft additional storage space with additional parking and landscaping. Clauddell still maintains the relationship with the owners by keeping the weeds cut on adjacent property and any maintenance they call him to perform.

Cheer Elite

Cheer Elite is a teaching and training school for gymnastics and cheer leaders. The building is 11,000 sq ft with ground level trampolines, foam pits, aerobatic mats, and running tracks. It is complete with offices, dressing rooms, spectator viewing balcony, and equipment sales area. A brick exterior wainscoat and brick entrance room adds class to the metal building along with landscaping and asphalt paving constructed by Clauddell Wright.

Gladwin Paint Co.

This building is a 14,000 sq ft building originally built as a Maaco Paint and Body Shop. It was completely fabricated from raw steel on site and built as a lease purchase contract with the owner. The owner exercised his option to buy the building and it was converted to the Gladwin Paint Co. The building had four work bays, a paint booth, four hours firewall paint storage room and offices and bathrooms. The curved mansards around the front and wall adds a modern day look to the business.

Kings Place Business Park

The home of Driver's Edge and Business Hygiene is the 15,000 sq ft building with decorative brick colonnades and contrasting mansards. This building was completed on time during winter weather and the owner has called three times since for further build-out as additional space was leased.

U.S. Border Patrol

A 9000 sq ft building built as a leased facility to the Federal Government for processing detainees and securing our area against organized terrorist activities. This building was built according to rigid Government specifications, with Hi-Tech holding cells and security along with a backup power generator in case of power failure. Clauddell Wright purchased the land and built the building from dirt work to the roofs along with perimeter fencing and security cameras. This is an added feature of Clauddell Wright Construction Co. to build you a building and lease it to you for your growing business.

Hoops 10

A 6,250 sq. foot clear-span gym for Hoop10 basketball and volleyball. Ms. Johanna Pointer is the owner of the building and with her associates teaches young people the finer techniques of the sports along with the character traits that lead to successful living.
